"Kind of hit or miss"
The heart monitor works sometimes, but it’s spotty. One minute it seems fine, then it’ll stop picking things up or give weird readings. I like the idea of it, and when it works it’s okay, but I wouldn’t fully rely on it. Maybe it’s just my unit, but yeah, not super consistent

"Decent workout, but the sales push was exhausting"
The workout itself was totally fine, and I actually didn’t mind the class. What bothered me was everything after. I told them I needed time to think about signing up, but I had to keep explaining that over and over while they kept bringing up memberships and special deals. It started to feel really uncomfortable. i might have considered joining later, but being pressured like that completely turned me off.

"I liked the workouts at orangetheory. They were..."
I liked the workouts at orangetheory. They were solid, and I’d usually leave feeling like I actually did something good for myself, even if I spent half the class wondering why I signed up for rowing again. But when it came time to cancel my membership, it was more of a hassle than I expected. I couldn’t just click a button online, which feels like it should be the standard by now. I had to contact the studio, fill out a form, and then wait for everything to go through.

The staff was perfectly nice, and the cancellation did get handled, so I’m not saying it was some nightmare situation. It just felt weirdly outdated, like one of those little errands that should take five minutes but somehow follows you around in the back of your mind all week. I’d still say the workouts are good, but the cancellation process could definitely be easier. Three stars feels about right.

Every time I’ve been in, the studio has been super clean. I always remember it smelling fresh, and the floors never look dirty or messy at all...

"I was kind of rushing in and..."
I was kind of rushing in and out, but the class itself was fine. The rowers and treadmills at my studio just felt older and not very smooth, and one of the screens kept glitching during the workout. For what it costs, I expected the equipment to be in better shape.

"Clear billing, but I felt a bit brushed off"
I do appreciate that Orangetheory explained the monthly charge and cancellation rules right from the start. So far there haven’t been any random fees, and the receipts show up right away, which makes the billing feel easy to trust. The only downside is that when I had a small follow-up question, I felt kind of dismissed, like they just wanted to move on instead of really answering me

It’s been frustrating trying to find an open class. Every time I check or show up, everything is already booked. If you’re hoping to just jump into a class easily, save your time and look elsewhere.

"Good workout, but the pricing is hard to justify"
I’ll be honest, I did enjoy the workout, so I’m not saying the classes are bad or anything. But for me, the membership price just feels too high for what you actually get. And once you start adding in extra fees and realizing some plans have class limits, it adds up quickly. Maybe it works for other people, and that’s fine, but I just wish the pricing was more upfront and a little more reasonable...

"Good people and an easy experience"
The coaches and members are really welcoming, which makes it so easy to keep coming back. The whole process of getting settled in and joining the workouts feels simple and comfortable. It can get a little crowded sometimes, but the community vibe more than makes up for it.

"Didn't feel personalized, and the reminders were too much"
I signed up hoping the coaching would actually work around my bad knee, but it didn’t really feel that way. I asked for modifications a few times and got barely any helpful guidance, so I still felt pressured to keep up with the regular plan. On top of that, the reminders were way too aggressive, like constant nudges that made me feel guilty instead of motivated. Just wasn’t worth it for me.

"Great coaches overall, though it can depend a little on the day"
I’ve generally had a really good experience with the coaches at Orangetheory. Most of them do a nice job of explaining what you’re supposed to be doing, keeping the energy up, and making sure the class keeps moving without feeling chaotic. I also appreciate that they push you, but not in that overly intense or annoying way where you feel like you’re being yelled at the whole time. Of course, like anywhere, some coaches are definitely stronger than others, and the overall vibe of the class can kind of depend on who’s coaching that day. I took off one star because there have been a few classes where things felt a little rushed, especially when transitioning between stations or trying to understand the floor exercises. But overall, I’ve been happy with the workouts and the coaching, and I keep coming back.

"Actually noticing a difference after a month"
I’ve been going for about a month now, and I’m starting to see results. I’ve lost some weight and feel a lot stronger, which is such a good feeling. Not gonna lie, some of the classes are tough, and there are definitely moments where I’m like, “Why did I sign up for this again?” But then I get through it and feel really proud afterward. So far, it’s been worth it...

"The app just doesn’t work right for me"
I don’t think I’m being picky here, but the app keeps crashing almost every time I try to book a class. I’ve tried more than once, and it’s frustrating when all I’m trying to do is reserve a spot.

"Staff could be a bit friendlier"
so the workouts themselves are good, but I didn’t feel super welcomed by the staff. They weren’t rude or anything, just came off a little cold, which made the overall experience less comfortable than I expected

"I’m new to this, and I felt lost..."
I’m new to this, and I felt lost through most of the first class. I kept wondering if other beginners were feeling the same way or if it was just me. Maybe it gets better once you know the basics, but as a first-timer it wasn’t the easiest to follow.

"Booking was a pain"
Tried to book a class. The site kept logging me out. Super annoying. The times were hard to figure out too. I got it booked in the end, but yeah. Not smooth.

"I went into Orangetheory thinking, okay..."
I went into Orangetheory thinking, okay, cool, I’ll just take it slow and do my own thing. At first I was trying to stay positive, like maybe I just needed to get warmed up or find the right rhythm. Then suddenly I was like, nope, absolutely not, this is way more intense than I signed up for.
The coach kept calling for faster speeds and heavier weights, and I was just over there trying to survive without making a scene. I’m sure it’s great if you’re already super fit or love that kind of push, but for me it was too much. I was sore for days and felt kind of embarrassed after, so yeah, I won’t be going back.

"Felt talked down to, and the music didn’t help"
I really wanted to enjoy the class, but the music was so loud it kind of killed the vibe for me. The energy felt more forced than fun, and on top of that, I got the sense I was being talked down to a bit, which made it hard to relax and get into it.

"Solid workouts, but they start to feel repetitive"
I’ve been going for a few weeks now and the workouts are definitely good, I always leave sweaty and the coaches do a solid job keeping things moving. That said, it’s starting to feel a little too familiar each time, like I can kind of predict how the class is going to go. Not the end of the world, and I’m the kind of person who gets bored of eating the same lunch two days in a row, so maybe that’s part of it. But for the price, I’d love to see more variety, maybe some themed days or different class styles mixed in. Overall it’s a good workout, I just wish there was a bit more to keep it feeling fresh.
